Amidst all the news of the match-fixing and spot-fixing by a few Pakistani cricketers, there are speculations that some of the matches in the Indian Premier League were also fixed. The questions that everyone is asking is whether the IPL should make it more stringent for those accessing the grounds during the Indian Premier League.
The problem associated with this is that the IPL players have many agents who keep moving with the players, trying to earn commercials for them.
On Tuesday, current Indian commentator and cricket expert, Atul Wassan said that even during the IPL there were fishy movements. He said that there were Indian cricketers who were approached for spot-fixing through the last three editions. Wasan added that there were a couple of the players who had told him about being approached.
However, Wasan refused to name the cricketers.
Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore owner, Vijay Mallya had said that there was no problem in the IPL, and the match-fixing issues had not yet crept up in the tournament.
