Dhoni is the highest paid cricketer in the world

India’s ‘Captain Cool’ Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who plays for the Chennai Super Kings, in the Indian Premier league is the world’s highest-paid cricketer according to the Forbes magazine.

The US business magazine said Dhoni’s success on the pitch, including leading India to its second-ever Cricket World Cup championship. Dhoni made an unparalleled $26.5 million in just one year, $3.5 million from cricket and the rest through advertisements.

To name a few of his endorsements, the list includes PepsiCo, Reebok and Sony.

Sachin Tendulkar, of the Mumbai Indians, was the second person on the list and just like MS Dhoni, the vast majority of Tendulkar’s earnings came courtesy of valuable sponsorship deals.

Tendulkarsd list on endorsements include Adidas, Coca-Cola, Castrol and Toshiba, and they paid a total $16.5 million for the little master’s services.
