Yuvraj Singh of Pune Warriors is back in action!

Yuvraj Singh who currently plays for the Pune Warriors India is back from illness and ready to play his favourite sport once again. He is contention for being selected for the first team that will represent India in the upcoming World T20 that will be held later his year.

Yuvraj Singh has recovered from a life threatening disease, cancer. He had spent quite a few days in America during his treatment but is now back and training. He had a malignant tumour between his lunges and was undergoing chemo therapy in America.

The man of the tournament from the previous 50 0ver world cup is looking set and has resumed to full training in order to ensure that he is fit enough for the series.

He has the unmatched record of smashing 6 sixes in the T20 World Cup in 2007, when India emerged victors in that tournament. He will be very eager to get back on to the field and help his country get back the most coveted title of T20 Cricket.

“Yuvraj has started practice, which is a very good thing. A guy who has won the World Cup should come back. We are all hoping for that. We want Yuvraj back for the T20 Wold Cup,” said Srikkanth. This was stated after the selectors picked the Indian team for Sri Lanka’s July-August tour.

The final squad will be picked later this month and until then Yuvraj is undergoing training and rehabilitation and the National Cricket Association (NCA) at Bangalore.

The World T20 commences on the 18th of September 2012.
